Fatih Ekshi
Fatih Ekşi is one of Turkey's leading figures in architectural visualization and AI-assisted design. He is known for integrating natural forms into architecture with a unique approach and skillfully applying technological innovations.
Biophilic Design and Inspiration from Nature
One of the most prominent features of Fatih Ekşi’s architectural philosophy is biophilic design. This approach seeks to bridge the built environment with the natural world, drawing inspiration from nature’s inner rhythms and sense of harmony.
A distinctive element of Ekşi’s work is his ability to derive architectural forms from everyday fruits and vegetables. In an interview with Bureau A&D, he shared how observing the internal structure of a lemon while drinking tea inspired a new project idea:
“Our job is to present our ideas. The more realistic the presentation is, the more successful we become.”
Fatih Ekşi is also influenced by Albert Einstein’s idea that “the universe is built on frequencies and resonances,” and he explores how architectural spaces can harmonize with the rhythms of nature.
Integration of Artificial Intelligence into Architectural Design
Fatih Ekşi describes AI as a tool to generate and refine design forms:
“AI offers many variations based on the references I provide. I choose the ones I like. Sometimes I accept the result as is, and sometimes I guide it until it reaches the beauty I aim for.”
His main tools include Stable Diffusion, AIR for SketchUp, Krea.AI, Magnific AI, and, for animation, Topaz Video AI and LUMA LABS. He also occasionally uses After Effects and Photoshop for manual refinements. These technologies expand his creative freedom and speed up the visualization process.
Additionally, Ekşi developed a web-based platform called Archiclarity.ai, which supports architects and designers in working more quickly and efficiently with AI-powered visualization tools.
